'ELEMENTARY', came the cry from the elderly folk at Grimsby Hall as they exposed the killer's identity following a gruesome murder at the home this week.
The razor sharp residents and their families had little trouble finding out whodunit when the care home off Ladysmith Road became the scene of a thrilling murder mystery evening on Thursday.
The quick witted pensioners used their considerable powers of deduction to help Detective Inspector Brown, played by administrator Tammy Dennis, get to the bottom of the murder most foul.
Cheese and wine was served throughout the evening while the group helped solve a series of clues to single out Lady Beauty Fading (home manager Jeanette Griffin) as the evil killer from a sinister selection of suspects, all played by staff.
"They absolutely loved it," said Tammy. "We all got dressed up for the occasion and everyone had a fabulous time.
"It was just great to get everyone involved in the night and the residents really want us to do another one."
For now though, murderous goings on at the home must cease as staff are busy preparing their Christmas Panto for the residents.
"We are doing Snow White and the Seven Dwarves this year," added Tammy "The dwarves are going to played by some of the staff's children,
"We will be starting to rehearse in the next coupe of weeks. It's going to be great, we are all really looking forward to it."
